Leading luxury lines, Uniworld and Seabourn have joined forces to offer a combined river and ocean cruise in the Mediterranean.
Now Aussie cruisers can combine Uniworld’s seven-night Venice and the Venetian lagoon itinerary with Seabourn’s seven night voyage sailing between Venice and Athens.
This is the first time that a luxury river and ocean cruise brand has collaborated to offer two distinct yet complementary cruises within one package price.
There will be two sailings of the combined cruises scheduled for 5 July and 30 August 2026.
Prices start from $11,400pp for the 14-night combined Venice and Mediterranean itinerary including a direct transfer between the two ships – Uniworld’s SS La Venetia and Seabourn Quest.
Uniworld’s research showed that 85 per cent of its customers are already combining their river journey with an ocean cruise with Seabourn as a favoured brand.
“Our agents tell us that they are already combining Mediterranean cruises with our boutique river cruises so this was a no-brainer of an idea,” said Alice Ager, managing director of Uniworld. “Seabourn is so similar in its ethos to luxury with understated elegance across their branding, their onboard inclusions and their stunning, intimate ships. We are thrilled to make this partnership official and hope that this is the first of many combo cruises to come.”
Seabourn’s senior sales director Alex Pikardt added that Uniworld’s values, service and product are aligned to Seabourn.
“It is a beautiful proposition offering the finest river and ocean cruising available in one trip and I anticipate these first packages will sell really quickly,” he said.
Uniworld’s seven-night itinerary from Venice will explore the waterfront shops, colourful façade, fishing port, Chioggia and give cruisers a taste of the wine and regional cuisine. There will also be an exclusive, after dark private visit to St Mark’s Basilica.
Seabourn’s itinerary will explore Croatia’s Vodice, the walled city of Kotor and Nafplion, one of Greece’s picturesque ports.
Bookings are now open at Uniworld’s reservations team. Click here for more details.
Earlier this year, Seabourn and APT also announced a multi-year partnership where APT will charter two of Seabourn’s luxury expedition ships, Seabourn Venture and Seabourn Pursuit to offer expedition cruises to the UK, Faroe Islands, Iceland, Greenland, the Kimberley and Antarctica.
Seabourn is making smart marketing decisions by aligning its products with distinct luxury brands like Uniworld and APT, meaning the line is selling to the brands’ loyal customer base and increasing its presence.
All three are also tapping into the growing demand for cruise extensions.
