- Three Princess ships will head in for dry dock this April.
- No major changes are expected, only general maintenance.
- The Grand Princess also had a dry-dock last year, meaning she’ll have a new look when she comes back to Australia next season.
This month, three Princess ships will undergo dry-docks, Emerald Princess, Grand Princess and Regal Princess.
Of particular interest to Aussie cruisers will be Grand Princess, an Aussie-favourite, which will return to Australia for the 2026/27 season, in about a year and a half.
However, the ship will only receive some general maintenance and upkeep. Therefore, no particularly exciting changes are expected, but she could be looking extra taken care of when she returns to Australia.
If you enjoyed a cruise on Grand Princess during the 2023/24 season when she was here in Australia, she will look quite a bit different when she returns. This is because the ship also had a drydock last year, which included adding some new restaurants, a specialty tea lounge, adding seven new suites, retouching the casino, and building a new Piazza.
When she’s done with her current touch-ups she’ll move on to her Alaskan season.
Once she’s back in Australia, she’ll offer a range of sailings out of different ports around the country, including Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth, and Adelaide.
Emerald Princess, now sailing in Europe, and Regal Princess, also currently sailing in Europe, will likewise both also have minor touch ups, with general maintenance and upkeep rather than any structural changes or new venues on the ship. Earlier in the year, Majestic Princess also had a refit, adding several new venues to the ship. While Majestic Princess has also been a favourite for Aussies, she currently has no cruises scheduled out of Australia.
