The Majestic Princess gets a Mediterranean makeover for her new season

The Majestic Princess has had a major makeover—her first since she was originally built for the Chinese market, and one that brings her dining venues into line with the rest of the fleet.

Majestic Princess will be setting sail through the Mediterranean from April to July, showcasing her latest upgrades. The timing coincides with the 40th anniversary of Princess Cruises sailing in the Mediterranean.

Princess Cruises Vice President of Hotel Operations and Guest Experience, Lorna Warren says “Majestic Princess has undergone a remarkable transformation that will introduce beloved venues and experiences from across our fleet as it sails.” She adds.

Deck 5

OUT: Vines Wine Bar, Harmony Restaurant, and Calypso Cove are out.

IN: O’Malley’s Irish Pub, Sabatini’s Italian Trattoria, Good Spirits at Sea, Shopping, and Confectionery are in.

• O’Malley’s Irish Pub: Classic Irish comfort food served pub-style from hearty burgers to fish and chips and even late-night bites are paired with an extensive beverage selection including a curated selection of beers and whiskey flights. Live music makes this place a true gathering place where memories are made (formerly Vines Wine Bar).
• Sabatini’s Italian Trattoria: The cruise line’s signature authentic Italian trattoria with a taste of Tuscany and beyond, featuring cherished family recipes from handmade pasta to robust sauces and rich slow-braised meats (formerly Harmony Restaurant).
• Good Spirits At Sea: The bar is inspired by the hit TV series, Good Spirits. Expert mixologists deliver live demonstrations, immersing guests in the culture behind each hand-crafted cocktail (replaces Piazza Bar).
• The Shops of Princess: EFFY: featuring pieces of the New York City-based jewellery brand known for its craftsmanship and high-quality gemstones (formerly Calypso Cove).
• Confectionery: A Victorian-style confectionery adorned with ornate jars of colourful sweets, this shop invites you to pick and choose your favourite treats from a vast selection of sweet delights (formerly Calypso Cove).

OUT: Good Spirits at Sea, Princess Photo Gallery, and Churchill’s Video Arcade are out.

IN: Bellini’s Cocktail Bar and Captain’s Arcade are in.

• Bellini’s Cocktail Bar: A celebration of life and love fills this Bellini-inspired cocktail bar with Italian flair as guests sip on refreshing Bellinis, hand-crafted cocktails and a carefully curated selection of wines (replaces Good Spirits At Sea and Princess Photo Gallery).
• Captains Arcade: Featuring classic and interactive video games (formerly Churchill’s Video Arcade).

OUT: Ocean Terrace Bar, Cartier, and the Library are out.

IN: Ocean Terrace Sushi Bar, The Shops, and Princess Photo Gallery are in.

• Ocean Terrace Sushi Bar: A contemporary sushi bar overlooking the Piazza, sushi lovers delight with expertly handcrafted sushi rolls, fresh nigiri or sashimi, and maki rolls (formerly Ocean Terrace Bar).
• The Shops of Princess: EFFY: In this additional space, EFFY will expand its jewellery selection, offer bespoke consultations, and hold insightful seminars. An EFFY Lounge will be dedicated to curating select luxury pieces (formerly Cartier).
• Princess Photo Gallery: For prints and photo downloads (formerly the Library).

OUT: Chopsticks Noodle & Dim Sum Bar and Lobster Bar & Grill are out.

IN: Alfredo’s Slice and The Salty Dog Grill are in.

• Alfredo’s Slice: A poolside pizza lovers paradise serving authentic Neapolitan pizza crafted from scratch and made-to-order (replaces Chopsticks Noodle & Dim Sum Bar).
• The Salty Dog Grill: For a quick bite, this poolside grill serves cooked-to-order favourites such as delicious burgers with house-baked buns, 100% all-beef hot dogs, street tacos, loaded fries, and more (formerly Lobster Bar & Grill).

Sabatini’s Italian Trattoria

Sabatini’s Italian Trattoria is the signature Italian restaurant for the Princess fleet. The emphasis is on traditional family recipes for multi-generational travellers. Handmade pasta courses and freshly prepared daily menu’s are to be enjoyed at this acclaimed Italian specialty restaurant. Now available on Majestic Princess, with new dishes inspired by Frescobaldi, bringing even more depth and tradition to the culinary offerings.

O’Malley’s Irish Pub

Passengers often remark that they feel like they’ve stepped into a genuine Irish pub at this warm, welcoming watering hole. O’Malley’s is the destination onboard for guests who want to relax in a casual yet vibrant environment where the live music often gets the crowd singing along while enjoying crowd-pleasing food and drinks.

Hollywood Pool Club

Welcome to Hollywood! This is the covered pool area for those who wish to enjoy a chic environment day or night, with sun loungers, modern design, a freshwater pool and steaming hot tubs. The rooftop glass dome keeps both the water and the environment comfortable despite the outside weather.

Stateroom upgrades:

The Suite with a balcony on the Majestic Princess has had a deluxe upgrade with all the amenities of a Reserve Collection Mini-Suite, plus incredible premiums. The suites come with more living space, a sofa bed and separate seating areas, plus amenities including priority disembarkation and a complimentary in-suite mini-bar setup.

After the season in the Mediterranean from April to July, the Majestic Princess sails to Canada and New England for August to September sailings. And then to the Caribbean from October to December to finish out the year.
