I booked a cruise with Celebrity. The cruise was cancelled due to the pandemic. I did not get my $800 deposit refunded.
Cruise booked for July 10 out of Brisbane’s new cruise terminal, so looking forward to our 12 day NSW and Qld cruise, even if the ship stayed berthed we would be happy on our balcony! We have been quite isolated from family and friends over past 2 years and have had a number of cruises cancelled, so let the bells and whistles begin on July 10
I was on the first P&O cruise out of Sydney to Brisbane and back and loved it. It was so great to be back. Everything was like new. The staff, cabin stewards cruisers were in the best moods and so friendly. Staff were so helpful and the drinks were flowing.
The need to wear masks in common areas wasnt a big deal. It saved problems later and most people abused by the rules which was great to see.
The shows were excellent and on a high being back from what I could tell.
Food services were delicious also. The pantry was hot with choices and fresh as. Even had a few serve yourself options if you didn’t want to wait but waiting queues were short and brisk so that wasn’t an issue.
This was really an amazing experience and one I’m back for next week on a Princess ship.
I’m so glad cruising is back!!!
OMG get me on my next cruise fast. Missed out over the last few years and when you hit 70s who knows how much cruising time is left. I feel confident in the cruise lines approach to the current virus and all protocols they have in place .
we have booked Alaska for next year and for the first time ever Im wishing time to hurry forward.
Knowing that cruising is not going to be the same as previous years we are prepared for shore excursion’s to have covid rules, ships to have covid rules and even the planes getting to our destination to have likewise. this in no way diminishes our desire to see new places.
unpack once sit back and enjoy
