Seabourn fans have been given their first glimpse of the line’s new ultra-luxury expedition ships in a first reveal of the ship’s interiors.

Adam D. Tihany, the brains behind the yacht inspired interiors on Seabourn Encore and Seabourn Ovation, has designed the Expedition Lounge, Discovery Centre, Landing Zone, and Atrium on the two upcoming ultra-luxury expedition ships.

Mr Tihany created the spaces to capture the romanticism of early explorers and the thrill of discovery with thoughtful details and materials that are very tactile – very ‘elemental’ – capturing the sense of ruggedness that comes with expedition travel while maintaining pristine luxury and comfort, says Seabourn.

He is also creating all indoor and outdoor guest areas on both ships, the first is recently named Seabourn Venture and the second sister ship is yet to be named.

Seabourn expedition ships - Expedition LoungeThe Expedition Lounge, the heart of the ship, is furnished with a variety of warm natural materials to create an inviting atmosphere for guests to gather, relax and share stories from the day.

Seabourn expedition ships - Discovery CenterThe Discovery Centre is where guests will receive briefings, lectures on natural history, cultural programming as well as the Seabourn Conversations enrichment program from a team of 26 world-class wilderness experts, scientists, historians and naturalists.

Seabourn expedition ships - AtriumThe Atrium features wood and metal detailing that seamlessly ties in with the rest of the ship. Suspended at the centre is an art piece inspired by traditional wind measuring instruments.

The Landing Zone, or the mud room, is a space for guests to change and clean gear like rubber boots, fins and masks for snorkelling in comfort while also providing space to store them. There are two Landing Zones on board and it will also provide guests with direct access to one of the 24 Zodiacs available for off-ship adventures.

These spaces will be the communal hub on board the 264-guest ship which are scheduled to be delivered in June 2021 and May 2022 with new itineraries and features on board.
