Luxury line, Scenic has unveiled hidden wonders of European river cruises for 2021 including two new culinary itineraries in France.

The French gastronomic itineraries include Tastes of Southern France on the Rhone and Flavours of Bordeaux on the Garonne. Highlight of the journey will be a dinner prepared by Michelin-starred chef Didier Goiffon and a cooking class at three-star Michelin chef Georges Blanc’s restaurant.

Guests will also be able to learn the family secrets of regional recipes and attend cooking classes held in the homes of locals including Dutch Apple Pie baking in Hoorn, Bulgarian Banica in Vidin and a traditional Portuguese bread-making experience.

To encourage river cruisers to book ahead with confidence, Scenic has introduced a new Book with Confidence program which includes a Deposit Protection Plan of $125pp where guests can change their travel dates and itinerary up to 90 days before departure.

Flights up to the value of $1900 pp or a business class air credit of up to $3500pp will be included on the Rhine, Maine, Danube, France and Russia river cruises of 11 days or more and a reduced deposit payment of $500 pp (excluding Russia).

The offers are available until September 30 or until sold out.

Scenic’s space ships can accommodate up to 163 passengers with five dining venues, luxurious balcony suites, butler service, an expansive rooftop sun deck and a panorama lounge and bar to take in the scenery over a drink.

“Scenic is working closely with IG River Cruise, Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA), local and international Government health agencies to ensure our protocols meet and exceed the latest regulatory requirements. Whilst also ensuring our guest experience stays at the heart of everything we do, as we all navigate the challenges posed by the global pandemic,” said Anthony Laver, group general manager sales and marketing, Australasia.
