The MSC Magnifica will emerge from her $130 million transformation in May 2021 with new cabins, new restaurants, public areas, the latest environmental technologies and she will also be sailing new itineraries.

A total of 23 metres will be added to the ship to fit all of the new features and 215 extra cabins will be  built. Families can look forward to a brand new water park, sundeck and a redesigned kids area. The Magnifica will also have two new restaurants and a new shopping area.

She will be sailing 24 itineraries from Southampton beginning in May 2021 and ending in October 2021 on two to 14-night itineraries in Northern Europe, Baltic Capitals, Canary Islands & Madeira and the Mediterranean.

One of the highlight itinerary is a 12-night cruise in May, which calls at three of the Canary Islands – Gran Canaria, Tenerife and Lanzarote – with their fantastic climate, distinctive landscapes and bustling ports.

Meanwhile in August, a 14-night Western Mediterranean cruise will include popular destinations such as Palma de Mallorca and Monte Carlo.

The ship will also be fitted with the latest environmental technologies that adhere to the strictest International Maritime Organisation environmental standards, allowing the ship to sail in the delicate Baltic Sea.

The ship features a Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) system which separates nitrogen oxide into pure nitrogen and water to reduce emissions, in addition to the commonly used hybrid exhaust gas cleaning system. Magnifica will also be fitted with a ‘next-generation’ Advanced Wastewater Treatment system.

MSC Cruises has opened sales for 2021 sailings on Magnifica today and guests who book before 12 November will receive a 5% early booking discount. Voyagers Club Members will also receive their usual 5% loyalty discount in addition to the early booking discount.
