Guests received a letter last weekend which said, “As you are aware from the letter you received at the beginning of our sailing, the Australian and the UK governments recently issued a travel advisory for Indonesia because of the potential for terrorist attacks in the country. Since we sailed from Fremantle, we have continued to closely monitor the situation and have been in regular communication with the appropriate government agencies,” wrote Captain Yannis Berdos.

“The most recent information received in the past few days indicate that the possibility of an incident in Bali has increased. Also, the Balinese New Year is March 9, and recent past advisories has named this date as one that could be targeted by terrorists. Based on all the information we have gathered from various sources, and in discussions with out Global Security team in Miami, we have made a decision to cancel our call to Bali.”
