Set to sail for the first time in January 2024, Royal Caribbean has revealed the first look of Icon of the Seas.

Icon of the Seas will make its way on a series of one-week itineraries of the Eastern and Western Caribbean out of Miami, with every cruise paying a special visit to Perfect Day at CocoCay in the Bahamas, Royal Caribbean’s private island destination.

Keen cruisers can book their first trip on Icon of the Seas as soon as October 25 on Royal Caribbeans websites, or October 24 for loyalty members.

Jason Liberty, president and CEO, Royal Caribbean Group said: “With each new ship, we raise the bar in the travel industry while enhancing what our guests know and love.

“From the moment they step on board, every experience is specifically designed to give them the best vacation anywhere on land and at sea. With Icon of the Seas, we’ve taken this to a new level and made the ultimate family vacation.”

Royal Caribbean International president and CEO Michael Bayley says Icon of the Seas is the result of more than 50 years of delivering travel experiences.

Icon of the Seas is the culmination of more than 50 years of delivering memorable experiences and our next bold commitment to those who love to vacation.

“Now more than ever, families and friends are prioritizing experiences where they can bond and enjoy their own adventures. We set out to create a vacation that makes all that possible in one place for the thrill-seekers, the chill enthusiasts and everyone in between, without compromise. It’s this first-of-its-kind combination that makes Icon the future of family vacations, and that future is here.”

Packed with family fun.

Included among the eight neighbourhoods of Icon is a mix of brand-new and returning experiences. Now in the mix are experiences like Thrill Island, where cruisers can play with their limits with the largest waterpark at sea, Chill Island where four pools are put together with the first swim-up bar at sea and an adults-only retreat to get away from the hustle and bustle of the ship and Surfside, a neighbourhood meticulously designed for young families where ocean views meet arcade adventures.

Cutting-edge entertainment.

Also to enjoy is The Hideaway, a neighbourhood that stands 4o metres above the sea, giving a beach club vibe, panoramic ocean views and the very first suspended infinity pool at sea. If that’s not all enough you can also visit the AquaDome, which stands at the top of the ship, that turns from a tranquil place to watch the day disappear to the AquaTheatre at night, bringing all forms of entertainment to life before the eyes of cruisers.
