Regent Seven Seas orders a third explorer-class ship

The line behind the โ€˜The Most Luxurious Ship Ever Builtโ€™ has announced an order to buildย a third explorer-class ship.

The new vessel will be a sister ship to the Seven Seas Explorer and Seven Seas Splendor, is scheduled to be delivered in late 2023.

Voyages forย theย shipโ€™sย inaugural seasonย willย goย onย saleย inย 2021 and more details about the ship will be revealed leading up to her debut.

โ€œWhen Seven Seas Splendorโ€™s inaugural season went on sale in April 2018 we set a new single-day booking record for our 26-year-old company, demonstrating the anticipation for her 2020 arrival,โ€ said Jason Montague, president and chief executive officer of Regent Seven Seas Cruises.

โ€œEach new ship is progressively more successful. Our growth is a reflection of the amazing people who work across our fleet, our valued shoreside employees, our loyal guests and their trusted travel advisors.โ€

She will be built to accommodate up to 750 guests and will be Regent Seven Seas Cruisesโ€™ sixth all-suite vessel.

Theย new ship costs approximately โ‚ฌ475ย million (AUD$ 750.5 million) and will be built byย Fincantieri.

The Italian builder is also currently building Seven Seas Splendor at its Ancona, Italy shipyard.
