Readers’ Choice – with hours to go, the trophies that are too close to call

Never mind the by-election in Sydney’s Wentworth constituency tomorrow, the real battle will be taking place in the final hours of Cruise Passenger’s Reader’s Choice Awards.

You have just one day left to vote for your favourite ships and crew at cruisepassenger.com.au/readerschoice.

Already, a record 10,600 votes have been cast – over 1,000 more than last year.

And the judges – you, our readers – are a thoroughly professional bunch, with 75% having taken four or more cruises recently.

Best mid-range cruise ship is a tight fight between P&O and Royal Caribbean, with literally a couple of points between them.

Categories for wellness, food and families are all being hard fought, with the major lines – Princess and Royal Caribbean – sailing full steam for victory.

The fight for honourable mention in Best Premium cruise line is one of the closest, with just a hand full of votes separating Celebrity Cruise Lines from Holland America.

And both categories for river cruise – best overall and best luxury – are hotly contested by with strong showings from APT, Viking, Avalon and Scenic.

As for the best place to cruise? Well, we know we have a lot of loyal Brisbane readers – they need to pull out all the stops to beat off the port with the bridge and the opera house.

No prizes for guessing where we mean.

Hurry up and vote – you could win a great $500 Red Balloon experience. Vote here
