P&O Cruises reveals 2020 winter and spring program for Sydney

P&O Cruises today revealed their 2020 Sydney season, with Pacific Adventure taking her maiden season and new ‘Voyages’ itineraries.

There will be 132 cruises in total including 57 shorter cruises of two to four nights departing Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Auckland.

Pacific Adventure will start her maiden season when she homeports in Sydney. The 108,865-tonne ship, currently sailing as Princess Cruises’ Golden Princess, will be their first Grand Class ship. The line’s newest and biggest ship will have a 3100-guest capacity.

Her first eight cruises will visit New Zealand, Fiji, Papua New Guinea and the South Pacific Islands. This includes a 13-night Kiwi Adventure, 14-night Fiji Explorer and 11-night New Guinea Island Encounter itinerary.

Pacific Adventure will also embark on an 18-night Southeast Asia and Australia ‘Voyages’ cruise from Singapore in October 2020, calling at Penang, Langkawi, Darwin, Cairns, Airlie Beach and Brisbane before arriving in Sydney.

“This season we have an exciting opportunity to offer select longer cruises and as part of the ‘Voyages’ concept we have enhanced the onboard experience for guests, providing an opportunity to try new things onboard and sample new entertainment options on Pacific Adventure,” said Mr Myrmell, President of P&O cruises.

‘Voyages’ starts off with a Captain’s Gala Cocktail Party where guests have the chance to meet the Master and Senior Officers. Throughout the voyage, guests can take part in a range of presentations and activities covering topics that include current affairs, the arts and culinary experiences with appearances, talks and seminars from notable Australian guest presenters. The voyage then closes with a Masquerade Ball where guests can dance the night away.

Pacific Adventure will also offer shorter options including a three night comedy cruise, four night voyage to Moreton Island and a six-night round-trip cruise to the Melbourne Cup departing Sydney on October 31, 2020.

The Pacific Aria will also be sailing from Sydney between October to December 2020, offering three and four-night Short Break cruises options and two 10-night itineraries to the South Pacific Islands.

P&O cruises will also be having nine themed cruises this season and will see Pacific Explorer departing from Sydney on a six-night Dark Mofo cruise in June 2020 and Christmas as well as New Year’s Eve cruises on Pacific Adventure and Pacific Aria.

The new 2020 program will go on sale on October 23, 2018.

  1. Over in the west are some of the worlds most beautiful coastlines aswell the gate way to asia why not make fremantle your home base and start holidays from here. We are mostly on tge same time zone as asia
    Wake develop fremantle.

  2. I just completed a cruise on the Aria (PNG) worst designed ship i have ever been on but the staff were fantastic and really looked after us. This was my third with P and O mind you funny how there was no record when i contacted them. I thought they had a loyality program so prob might find one that really does exist when all the bigger ships come to Brisbane in the near future and more competition.

  3. What about Western Australia. it seems as we here in the west do not belong to Australia. If we wish to enjoy these cruises we need to make an expensive flight to join the cruises in the east
