Oceania Sonata to debut with two new restaurants in 2027

Oceania Cruises has unveiled two new restaurants aboard Oceania Sonata when she debuts in 2027.

  • La Table par Maitres Cuisiniers de France and Nikkei Kitchen will make dining headlines as the two new restaurants.
  • La Table will seat only 18 guests and feature menus created by Master Chefs of France from around the world.
  • Nikkei Kitchen will offer a vibrant fusion of Peruvian flavours and refined Japanese techniques.

Oceania Cruises has unveiled two new restaurants aboard Oceania Sonata when she debuts in 2027.

La Table par Maitres Cuisiniers de France, will be one of the most exclusive fine-dining restaurants at sea while Nikkei Kitchen, an evening venue will boast a vibrant fusion of Peruvian flavours and refined Japanese culinary techniques.

La Table will seat only 18 guests and offer an elegant dining experience. Menus will feature a rotation of dishes created by Master Chefs of France from around the world in partnership with Oceania’s two executive culinary directors, chefs Alexis Quaretti and Eric Barale. La Table will also be the venue for Oceania’s famed Dom Perignon Experience, a six-course tasting menu paired with three vintage champagnes.

Nikkei Kitchen will adapt traditional Japanese recipes with native Peruvian ingredients and offer distinctive seafood dishes, citrus, soy-based sauces and spicy peppers. Nikkei Kitchen will be headed by Chef Gustavo Sugay who has 20 years experience.

Jason Montague, Chief Luxury Officer of Oceania Cruises said the two restaurants “reflect our continued commitment to innovation and our commitment to serve the Finest Cuisine at Sea.”

Besides the two new restaurants, Oceania Sonata will also offer another ten other dining venues including Jacques, pan-Asian Red Ginger, Polo Grill steakhouse, Toscana and the Grand Dining Room.

When Oceania Sonata launches in 2027, she will be the first of four 1390-guest ships in the new Sonata class.
