Norwegian Prima’s new entertainment lineup – which includes a racetrack and a Vegas nightclub

Norwegian Prima, the first of six ships in Norwegian Cruise Line’s all new Prima-Class, has revealed its array of entertainment features and acts aboard Norwegian Prima.

Part of these new features is the announcement of the Tony-nominated musical ‘Summer: The Donna Summer Musical’ as its headlining act.

Also on board will be the world first of a venue that transforms from a three-story theatre into a Vegas-style nightclub. However, the nightlife isn’t the only thing getting revitalised, with highlights also including freefall drop dry slides and the largest racetrack at sea.

Harry Somer, President and CEO of NCL said: “We’re not just elevating the guest experience, we’re giving it an adrenaline rush and multi-sensory overload.

“When we launched Norwegian Prima, we aimed at going beyond expectations, providing our guests with more wide-open spaces, elevated service, thoughtful design and a variety of unforgettable experiences, and this latest unveiling of our entertainment and onboard activities lineup is going to have the wow-factor they’ve yearned for in a much-anticipated cruise vacation.”

Norwegian Prima will debut ‘The Drop’, the world’s first free fall dry slide, where guests will feel all the adrenaline of a 10-strong plunge. If you have a little competitive spirit you can even try ‘The Rush’ where you can race other guests on duelling dry slides.

If the racing fuels something in you, you can turn it up a notch at ‘Prima Speedway’, with a three-level racetrack with 420 metres and 14-dizzying turns, where you can hit speeds of over 50 km/h to get your need for speed scratched while at sea.

To really switch up the pace, you can go to the Galaxy Pavillion, a virtual gaming complex where you can strategise you way out of an escape room or transport yourself to a virtual golf course.

However, perhaps the greatest attraction may be the nightlife, with headlining acts performing in the three-story Prima Theatre, before it effortlessly transforms into an LED-assisted dance floor with music to carry you late into the night.

You can laugh the night away at The Improv at Sea comedy club, enjoy some classic rock at Syd Norman’s Pour House or enjoy a twist on a classic game of darts at The Bull’s Eye.

Norwegian Prima will start sailing in the northern hemisphere summer of 2022.
