Norwegian Breakaway returns to New York City

Norwegian Cruise Line is celebrating its return to the New York City as Norwegian Breakaway begins a series of week-long voyages from New York to Bermuda.

The Norwegian Breakaway made its triumphant return on September 26 when guests got back on board for the first time in over a year.  Harry Sommer, president and chief executive officer of NCL said, “Our return to New York City is a significant milestone in our Great Cruise Comeback from the U.S.” “We have a 30-year history of cruising from New York and were the first to sail from the destination year-round.” “Our return feels like a homecoming.  This autumn, as New York comes back to life after more than a year, with Broadway and other top attractions opening back up, we are honoured to be part of its story and to provide travellers easy access to a safe and exceptional warm-weather vacation experience from one of the top cruise destinations on the U.S. East Coast.” Heading out from the Manhattan Cruise Terminal, Norwegian Breakaway offers week-long voyages to Bermuda, which includes three nights in the Royal Naval Dockyard of Bermuda, where pink sand beaches, local cuisine and historic sites await. These itineraries will run until October 31 before Norwegian Breakaway will make the trip to New Orleans, before exploring the tropical delights of the Caribbean.  Norwegian Breakaway is the sixth out of 17 of NCL’s ships to redeploy, marking another crucial step towards cruising normalcy.
