Reservations are now open for all sailings onboard Diamond Princess for two new specialty dining experiences. Crowd favourite of the fleet, Princess’s signature restaurant Crown Grill will be dishing up juicy steaks and popular sides.

While specialty dining venue Makoto Ocean will also make sushi-inspired waves onboard. Both restaurants are joining the ship to coincide with the 2026 Japan Season.

Diamond Princess accommodates 2670 guests and is known as a fan favourite in the Princess Cruises fleet. The line has announced the Japan Season itineraries will boast this extra incentive to book a cruise in 2026 with the introduction of these two top specialty dining restaurants. Both specialty dining venues are priced at $55 per person and are included for guests who book the Princess Premier package.

Diamond Princess isn’t the first ship to receive this specialty dining upgrade. Sister ship Sapphire Princess recently underwent the same upgrade, and is in line with the debut of both ships’ new itineraries for 2026 / 2027 Japan Season.

Sami Kohen, Princess Cruises Vice President Food and Beverage says “With Makoto Ocean and Crown Grill now onboard Diamond Princess, and also recently added onboard sister ship Sapphire Princess, we’re proud to enhance the guest experience as Diamond Princess sails across Asia and as we look ahead to our dual-ship Japan season in 2027.”

Both the Diamond Princess and Sapphire Princess were originally built in Japan – an important distinction that underscores Princess Cruises’ long-standing legacy in the region and ongoing connection to Asia. Diamond Princess is currently sailing roundtrip from Singapore, offering a range of immersive itineraries throughout the region, visiting destinations including Thailand, Malaysia and Vietnam, before returning to Japan.
