A new collection of theatrical performances and entertainment concepts is coming on board Silversea’s fleet in 2020.

The line’s latest ship Silver Moon debuting August next year will have a new headline show along with three new stage productions as well as a LunaFest music festival and surprise pop-up entertainment Silver Sparks.

Five other Silversea ships: Wind, Shadow, Whisper, Spirit and the Muse which is based here, will also each host a new theatrical production in 2020.

“We are thrilled to unveil this enhanced entertainment program,” said Antonio Marangi, Silversea’s Director of Entertainment and Enrichment. “Enriched by the creative collaboration of Luna Rossa, we have developed an entertainment portfolio that has been customised according to guests’ expectations and preferences.

“Differentiation is the key to unique, intimate and exclusive entertainment programming. I know our guests will be delighted by our range of bespoke stage performances, as well as our new concepts. LunaFest and Silver Sparks will lend an extra dimension to create a remarkable entertainment experience.”

The headlining act on the Silver Moon ‘To the Moon and Beyond’ is a retro tribute to space exploration and classic sci-fi movies with iconic tunes as Fly Me to the Moon, Moondance, Bad Moon Rising, Rocket Man, and more.

The three complementing new stage productions at Venetian Lounge include ‘Circus’, inspired by Cirque du Soleil and the hit movie The Greatest Showman; ‘Café Tango’, a classic tango show set in a Parisian-style café; and ’80s Gold’, which celebrates the decade’s best-loved pop anthems.

The Silver Muse will have ‘Colours’ coming on board from March 2020. It is tribute to emotional and colourful tunes from Michael Jackson’s Black or White and Madonna’s True Blue, to Barbra Streisand’s Evergreen and Prince’s Purple Rain.

Meanwhile on other ships, a disco number ‘Boogie Wonderland!’ debuts on Silver Whisper this month as she sails the Caribbean. An acoustic live tribute to modern classics like I Say a Little Prayer, Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow, Bridge over Troubled Water joins Silver Wind in January 2020.

‘Brit Hits’ featuring best-selling hits of such artists as Adele, Amy Winehouse, Elton John, Phil Collins, Eurythmics, and others will take the stage aboard Silver Spirit in April 2020 in the Mediterranean.

Silver Shadow will debut ‘Corazon’ that showcases rhythmic sounds from Spain and South America. The show with bold costumes and dramatic staging comes aboard May 2020.
