In Short:

In 2026 alone, cruise lines like Disney Cruise Lines, Royal Caribbean and Norwegian Cruise Line will be launching new ships.

  • There will be a number of new cruise ships launching from contemporary and premium lines.
  • Cruise lines like Norwegian Cruise Line, Royal Caribbean and Disney will be launching new vessels.
  • There are also new luxury vessels launching as well as vessels from hotel brands.

In 2026 alone, cruise lines like Disney, Royal Caribbean and Norwegian Cruise Line will be inaugurating new ships.

There’s also plenty coming in the luxury space as well, with Explora Journey’s and Regent Seven Seas bringing new ships to the market. Even the luxury hotel chain Four Seasons will have its first luxury yacht sailing in 2026.

These are all the new cruise ships you can expect to see in 2026.

Norwegian Luna

Norwegianโ€™s next Prima Plus ship will be Norwegian Luna, which is set to begin sailing from March 2026. The new ship can pack in up to 3571 passengers and will bring the cruise lines fleet to a massive 21 ships.

Some exciting new additions to the ship include the production of โ€œRocket Man: A celebration of Elton Johnโ€, new water slides and roller coasters, new eateries with a plant based focus and more.

The ship will start sailing out of Miami, sailing throughout the Caribbean.

The ship will be a twin ship to Norwegian Aqua, one of NCLโ€™s most popular ships, which also sails in the Caribbean.

Disney Adventure

Disney Adventure was meant to begin sailing this year, but was pushed back to 2026 due to operational delays.

The new Disney ship will represent something new for Disney, with the vessel set to become one of the biggest in the world, with capacity for around 6000 passengers. Due to its size, the ship packs in a range of new Disney entertainment and venues.

The ship itself will serve as all the entertainment, as its three and four-night sailings out of Singapore wonโ€™t visit any ports; theyโ€™ll only have sea days.ย

Four Seasons I

Four Seasonโ€™s first ever luxury yacht has already headed out to sea trials, with the luxury hotel set to have its first ever luxury vessel sailing in 2026.

The ship will fit in 180 guests across 95 suites. Onboard youโ€™ll find 11 food and drink venues, a spa area, ultra-luxury suites and more. The ship claims to offer โ€œ50 per cent more living space per guest than currently available in an all-suite nautical setting, with the most expansive entry-level suites beginning at 581 square feet of combined indoor and outdoor living space.โ€

For now bookings are quite limited, you can either speak with a specialised travel advisor who has access to join the waitlist on the website.

However, be warned that sailings will not come cheap. A seven-day sailing will start from about $38,000 for a cabin.

Legend of the Seas

Legend of the Seas will be joining Icon of the Seas and Star of the Seas as part of the biggest ships in the world when it kicks off its first ever sailings in 2026. The ship will largely take the form of Icon and Star, with the same set up of different neighbourhoods with unique identities scattered across the ship.

Royal Caribbean certainly doesnโ€™t appear to be slowing down in bringing massive ships onto the market, with another ship set to arrive in 2027 and another in 2028.

Royal Caribbean brings its biggest ships to the Caribbean, and voyages around its own private destinations and other Caribbean countries that have capacity for large vessels. Icon of the Seas caused a big stir coming onto the scene as the biggest ship in the world, and soon, there will be four more ships that are just as big.

Explora III

Explora Journeys will debut Explora III in 2026, with the luxury ship spanning across 463 suites, with a strong focus on dining and wellness. Dining options stand as a highlight with famous eateries like Anthology, Med Yacht Club, Sakura, Emporium Marketplace and more onboard.

Onboard there are sports courts for pickleball, paddle, basketball and more, an open-air fitness centre, pools, meeting areas, bars and more.

The ship will start off its sailings amongst the fjords of Northern Europe before moving to the east coast of the USA and sailing in the Caribbean.

The ship will become the third of the new cruise line, with the goal being to expand the fleet to six ships over the coming years.

MSC World Asia

MSC World Asia will be the third ship of MSCโ€™s World Class, with a strong Asian influence in the ships design, both the exterior and interior.

Funnily enough, the ship will actually be in Europe, sailing a range of Mediterranean itineraries, but the strong Asian influence onboard, particularly in terms of eateries, will offer something different to the classic European cruise experience.

MSC has plenty of plans to expand its fleet over the coming years, and is already one of the most prolific cruise lines worldwide.

The ship is set to have one of the longest โ€˜dry slidesโ€™ at sea, which manoeuvres its way through 12 different decks.

Regent Seven Seas Prestige

This 822-guest ship will bring all the luxury that is expected of a Regent Seven Seas cruise, but will be about 40% bigger than most of the cruise line’s other ships.

The exciting catch is that, despite being significantly larger, the ship will only accommodate about 10 per cent more passengers. This might just make it the most luxurious ship yet for Regent, with cruisers set to have a higher passenger-to-space ratio than ever, offering more intimacy, space, and quiet to enjoy luxury dining, wellness, and more.ย

Bookings for the new ship have been breaking records for how quickly theyโ€™re selling, showing that Regent fans are very much behind the new concept of a slightly bigger ship, but with more space and personalised service.
