Cruise & Maritime Voyages is adding new ports of call to Vasco da Gama’s second season down under in 2020/21  – and early birds will be treated to a buy-one-get-one-free offer.

The new ports of call include Darwin, Port Arthur and Geelong. The ship will also return to cruising destinations such as Wallaroo on the Yorke Peninsula in South Australia, and Esperance in the South West.

The 1,200-passenger Vasco da Gama will be homeporting in Adelaide and Fremantle and will also be hosting festive cruises and short cruises.

The Waterfront on Vasco da Gama

“Our new season on Vasco da Gama will really shine the light on domestic cruising for Australians, as we have found that many of our Australian guests are passionate about exploring their own backyard,” says Managing Director of CMV Australia, Dean Brazier.

“At CMV, we have a high number of repeat guests, so we want to ensure that we are providing them with new, diverse destinations and varied itineraries each season within Australia and also across Asia. We offer short-break domestic cruises, local extended escapes and exotic cruises close to home.

“These new itineraries allow our guests to immerse themselves in the wildlife and nature of the Kimberley and Northern Territory, delve into the rich colonial histories and breathtaking landscapes of Tasmania, or enjoy a day exploring the relaxed coastal towns of Victoria.”

Some of their voyages within Australia are just two-nights long, so travellers may not even need to take a day off work to come on board.

The line is also offering an early booking special which puts their three-night New Year’s cruise at $540 per person after discount. Vasco da Gama will also cruise Sydney to Adelaide via Melbourne, allowing East Coast guests to take only one flight. Prices start from $535 per person twin share (Guest 1 from $1,069 with Guest 2 Free).
