With demand high, Norwegian Cruise Line has rolled out an extra range of cruises for the 2026 northern hemisphere cruise season, adding a massive 225 new voyages.

These voyages include 180 port-immersive itineraries, across eight ships, 11 embarkation points and sailings ranging from seven to 14 days. 

The new itineraries are built around the principles of immersion, with many seven-day itinerary not having any sea days, meaning guests will be exploring new cities and coastlines every day of their cruise.

Furthermore, throughout the itineraries, guests will find a range of overnight stay options across Reykjavik, Iceland, Copenhagen, Denmark, Istanbul, Turkey and other included ports. 

There are also a range of new and exciting ports, such as Portree in Scotland, Leirvik in Norway and Palamos in Spain, all first time visits for the cruise line.

 Ben Angell, Vice President and Managing Director, NCL APAC mentions that Aussies are Kiwis are proving to be particularly drawn to the region at the moment, with plenty of sales in Europe from Aussie cruisers.

“Europe remains a favourite destination for Australian/New Zealand cruisers, and with the launch of our 2026 Europe collection we’re delighted to offer travellers the opportunity to experience even more of Europe.

“From undiscovered gems in Lithuania and Norway to Mediterranean hotspots and a full Baltic season including our first departure from Helsinki, guests can design their dream European escape from a choice of eight ships, 11 departure ports, and over 180 itineraries, 44 of which are being offered for the first time. 

“Whether they prefer to create longer voyages with back-to-back sailings or combine a week at sea with a pre-or post-cruise land tour in cities such as Istanbul, Barcelona, and Lisbon there’s a perfect itinerary to suit.”

Where to turn your eyes 

Northern Europe

  • Norwegian Sun will be sailing throughout the entire Baltic season, sailing out of ports like Copenhagen, Denmark and Helsinki to visit coastal gems across Norway, Germany, Poland, Lithuania, Sweden and more. There are also nine-day sailings from Helsinki that feature Copenhagen overnight stays for extra time to explore the city.
  • Elsewhere in Northern Europe Norwegian Sky will sail its second European season, offering itineraries out of France, the UK and more.
  • Norwegian Star will offers its 10 to 11 day Extraordinary Journey’s out of Iceland and Southampton, offering visits to scenic Scandinavian spots.

Mediterranean and Greek Isles 

  • Norwegian Epic will be sailing out of Barcelona and Rome, Norwegian Dawn will be out of Barcelona and Lisbon and Norwegian Gem will also be out of Barcelona.
  • You can expect all these itineraries to be classic Med sailings, take your pick of itineraries across Spain, Italy, France, Portugal and more.
  • Perhaps most exciting is NCL’s brand new ship Norwegian Viva will be sailing out of the Med from April 2026, with some sailings including an overnight in Istanbul, as well as other ports across Malta, Italy, Greece, Montenegro and Croatia.
