Majestic Princess has touched down in Sydney, with 3500 guests in tow after 31-day trans-Pacific voyage from Vancouver.
Stopping in Los Angeles, Papeete, Tauranga, Auckland, Bay of Islands and more along the way, Majestic Princess is back in Australia after two long years.
This is Princess’s second ship to be back in Australian waters, with Coral Princess home-porting out of Brisbane since June. Grand Princess will also be joining the fleet from early November when she begins to homeport in Melbourne. All 143,000 tonnes of Majestic Princess is starting her Sydney season right away and will have a home in the harbour for 197 days.
The ship will sail on 17 voyages, visiting 19 different ports across 71 calls in the region. Some highlight include voyages around a week long to Tasmania, two ventures out to Fiji, two Auckland to Sydney sailings and a holiday special roundtrip out of Sydney over Christmas and New Years.
Her arrival is also a cause for celebration on a bigger scale, with her season to pour an estimated $49 million into the Australian economy. This marks another milestone in Australia’s return to cruise.
