Croatia’s award-winning small ship cruise company, Katarina Line, will be adding two new ships next year, including The Katarina, a Deluxe category cruiser.

Also for next year, is a brand new list of itineraries featuring land tours for fit and small groups.

As part of the lines’ new active program, there are land programs like the Active Spring shore excursions in Croatia’s Kvarner Region. It’s one of the country’s most popular destinations and is known for its sweeping island views and vast coastline.

The surrounding forests and mountains have countless biking, hiking and walking trails, which you can try on this shore excursion.

For the culture buffs, the line takes you to sites on the Medjugorje Pilgrimage shore excursuons, which includes a visit to the famous St. James’ Church. Also on the pilgrimage, is a stop at Apparition Hill, where the Virgin Mary is believed to appear every month.

And of course its iconic seven-night Divine Dalmatian cruise departs from Dubrovnik and explores the Dalmatian islands and coastline.

Highlights include visiting Dubrovnik’s famous town wall, swimming in secluded beaches, visiting the jet-set island of Hvar, and a tour of Mljet National Park, a protected area that is perfect for walking and cycling, with a ruggedly beautiful coastline, ancient ruins and saltwater lakes.

The cruise also stops at Split, Bol, and Pelješac, a peninsula in southern Dalmatia known for its lush vineyards, dramatic scenery and great food.

“Katarina Line’s growing program of land tours and expanding fleet of small ship cruisers reflect our increasing success as a premier provider of travel to Croatia,” said Daniel Hauptfeld, marketing director for Katarina Line.

“Through our cruises and customizable land tours, our guests can explore the magnificent blue coastline and islands of Croatia, its cultural, historical and gastronomic traditions, and its stunning UNESCO World Heritage sites.”
