Jamie’s Italian by Jamie Oliver, a Royal Caribbean food staple, is getting a new menu. From August onwards, the restaurant will be serving up a different set of Oliver-influenced delights.

The menu has already been implemented on Symphony, Harmony, Mariner, Navigator and Anthem of the Seas. Australia-bound ships Quantum and Ovation are also reportedly getting the menu changes, but set dates haven’t been locked in.

The changes start with the lunch menu. Where the Penne Pomodoro and Garlicky Prawns used to be, you’ll now find the Penne Vodka Arrabbiata. Jamie Oliver says this dish, set to become a Royal Caribbean dining option, is a family favourite.

There’s also a shake up the main courses. You’ll no longer be able to order the JI Burger, Calabrian Chicken or Jamie’s Caesar Salad with replacements including a new Crispy Chicken Burger and an Avocado Caesar Salad. A chicken parmigiana has been added to the dinner menu, in place of the JI Burger.

There are also fewer sides available now. But you’ll still be able to add rocket salad, charred broccoli, skin-on fries and polenta chips to your meal.

The acclaimed chef also said the bruschetta recipe is getting a refresh.

New to dinner, it was a Crab & Avocado entree, replacing the Garlicky Prawns, plus there is a new Risotto Rosso pasta, served with sun-dried tomato rice, veggie parmesan and fresh basil.
