What it smells like?

Mr Morillas, a Spaniard, is a renowned perfumer who has created thousands of perfumes for well-known luxury brands. Moreover, these brands include Cartier, Giorgio Armani, Calvin Klein, Bulgari, Gucci, Kenzo, and Marc Jacobs.

In addition, Mandala Blue by Explora Journeys will capture a blend of the scent of bergamot, mandarin, jasmine, and orange blossom with base notes of sea amber, wood, and musk.

Furthermore, the line says the scent will reflect the cosmopolitan flair of Explora Journeys’ ocean cruise experiences.

Perfume is about storytelling

“Creating a perfume is about storytelling,” Mr Morillas says.

“I adore the Mediterranean, so you’ll find in Mandala Blue light, fresh sea notes combined with citrus from bergamot and mandarin and some florals from jasmine and orange blossom, which reminds me of springtime in Seville.”

Explora’s vice president hotel operations, Koray Savas, says that the collaboration is a “celebration of exploration, sophistication and the transformative power of scent.”

Products you can buy

Mandala Blue fragrance products such as body lotion, shampoo, conditioner, soap and home fragrance diffuser can be bought onboard the 461-suite  Explora I which debuted in July last year.
