Emerald Cruises has revealed new images of the Emerald Azzurra, the first of two superyachts that will be launched by the cruise line.

There are new pictures of the stunning ship and she is Emerald Cruises’ first ocean-going vessel.

The 100-guest ship started sailings in Jordan last month and will have fabulous offerings onboard.

The Emerald Azzurra has designer furnishings, an infinity pool, a cafe, a wellness centre equipped with TechnoGym equipment and an infrared sauna, an observation lounge and 50 staterooms – 88% of which include private balconies.

Guests will have the use of the laundry room which has complimentary washers and dryers that come with detergent, steamers, irons and laundry baskets and can also use the full laundry service if they prefer.

The Emerald Azzurra is currently sailing on an eight-day Mediterranean Enchantment itinerary. Port calls have included Aquaba, Jordan and Athens, Greece. The cruise concludes in Dubrovnik on April 16 2022.

The ship’s small size and sleek design make it seem more like a luxury yacht than a mega-ship. It even features a marina platform so guests can snorkel, kayak and paddleboard right off the ship in certain destinations.

The Emerald Azzurra marks the beginning of a new era for the predominantly river cruise line since it was founded in 2014. It is also indicative of a new style of luxurious yacht-like and expedition vessels that cruise lines such as Silversea and Ritz-Carlton are launching.

Emerald Sakara will be the second superyacht to join the cruise line when it launches in early 2023.

Cruises aboard Emerald Sakara are more affordable than comparable vessels with prices for an oceanview stateroom starting at $9,821 per person for the 15-day cruise from Dubrovnik to Nice on October 21 2023.
