Cunard has announced its 2022 line-up of Event Voyages and it’s a wonderful mix of returning favourites and exciting new itineraries.

Here’s a taste of what you can expect on each voyage: 

15-22 May 2022 London Theatre at Sea, with the Olivier Awards

A theatre lovers dream, this cruise is in partnership with Society of London Theatre and is a conglomerate of spectacular performances, as well as home to an all-star guest list who will give talks on their careers and productions they’ve been involved with. Some highlights include a dance class led by world class choreographers and a performance in the Royal Court Theatre that looks back over the last 45 years of the Olivier Awards.

25 October-1 November 2022, Anthony Inglis and the National Symphony Orchestra

Already known as a favourite in the Cunard calendar, the UK’s National Symphony Orchestra is ready to set sail again, with Anthony Inglis leading the ensemble. Mr Inglis spoke in excitement: “After the year we have all had, the orchestra and I have decided that we need a huge celebration in 2022, not only on behalf of the ship and her wonderful crew, but also the guests we have all missed. We look forward to welcoming guests for a gigantic, seven-night party with an orchestra playing some favourite classic pieces of music.”

3-10 December 2022 Literature Festival at Sea

Crafted by the team of The Times and The Sunday Times Cheltenham Literature Festival, this trip will be a seven-day programme that celebrates the written word with inspirational workshops, discussions and Q&As that span across topics of literature, art, film, history and politics. Names on the guestlist will include bestselling authors Ian Rankin, Maggie O’Farrell, Charles Cumming, Santhnam Sanghera, revered classicist Mary Beard and acclaimed journalists such as Damian Barr and Matt Chorley.

28 August- 4 September 2022, Art & Design Week

This brand new Art & Design week celebrates the very best in design, with expert-led masterclasses and on-board exhibitions serving up a buffet of inspiration for guests to feast upon. A historical gaze back on design will be combined with the exhibiting of contemporary design and discussions on what design may look like in the future.

8-17 May 2022, Queen Elizabeth: Beatles and Beyond

Beginning its nine night journey in Tokyo, the Queen Elizabeth will flirt with the shores of Japan and South Korea as it provides those on board with unique experiences in music, film and food. The Bootleg Beatles’, the world’s leading Beatles tribute band, will perform a spectacular finale in the Royal Court Theatre, to send everyone home happy and nostalgic.
