Cruise fans across Australasia have extra reason to celebrate this October, with the launch of Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) Cruise Month 2025 – a month-long showcase of everything cruising.

The annual event, which runs until November 1, promises more promotions, inspiration, and insider knowledge than ever before, highlighting why travel advisors remain at the heart of the cruise experience.

A Season of Celebration

Timed perfectly with the build-up to summer sailings, this year’s expanded Cruise Month is designed to capture the imagination of seasoned cruisers and first-timers alike. Under the banner #LoveCruise, the campaign will deliver a mix of social media buzz and consumer offers – all encouraging travellers to book through their local CLIA-certified travel advisor.

Weekly themes will help travellers explore the world of cruising in depth:

Bigger, Brighter, Bolder

CLIA has promised its biggest Cruise Month program yet. A new outdoor digital billboard campaign will see eye-catching visuals lighting up major capital cities, while weekend travel sections will run special cruise editions featuring ships, destinations, and itineraries from across the industry.

For consumers, the focus will be on showcasing the enormous variety of cruise options available today – whether that’s sailing Europe’s legendary rivers, embarking on an Antarctic expedition, or indulging in the high-end luxuries of the world’s newest ocean liners.

Behind the scenes, CLIA member travel advisors will also benefit from a record 30 webinars from individual cruise lines, providing exclusive insights into their latest ships, itineraries, and selling tips. New Spotlight Sessions will highlight river and expedition cruising, featuring presentations from more than 20 cruise linesCruise Month 2025 begins.

The value of travel agents

At the heart of the campaign is a renewed emphasis on the value of booking through a CLIA-accredited travel advisor. CLIA Managing Director Australasia Joel Katz said the goal is to channel excitement directly to these professionals, who are uniquely placed to match travellers with their perfect cruise.

“Cruise Month is about inspiring cruise travellers and directing them towards CLIA travel agents to take advantage of their expert guidance,” Mr Katz explained. “This year’s campaign has been designed to reach greater audiences than ever, so we’re encouraging all our members to get involved and help build momentum”Cruise Month 2025 begins.

To keep the excitement flowing, CLIA is rolling out weekly Cruise Month specials, along with a comprehensive toolkit for travel advisors – complete with logos, videos, banners, flyers, and other ready-to-use marketing assets.

Travel agents also have the chance to win a five-star package to the 23rd annual Cruise Industry Awards in Sydney next year, awarded to the advisor who delivers the most outstanding Cruise Month event or promotionCruise Month 2025 begins.
