- Cristiano Ronaldo has become the new face of Saudi Arabian cruise line Aroya cruises.
- He appears in a new commercial for the cruise line, aboard its first ship which has room for 5000 passengers.
- The new cruise line aims to promote tourism in Saudi Arabia and sails in the Red Sea and Mediterranean.
Cristiano Ronaldo, former Manchester United and Real Madrid football player and one of the most famous people on earth has thrown his weight behind a Saudi Arabian cruise line.
Ronaldo currently plays for a club in Saudi Arabia and together with his partner Georgina Rodriguez, appears to be settling into other ventures, appearing in a commercial for Aroya Cruises.
Aroya cruises is a very new line, launching at the end of the last year, and they boast a ship to their name with capacity for 5000 passengers.
Ronaldo wrote on social media: “Georgina and I are happy to feature in this campaign together and can’t wait to take our family on a cruise. We enjoy the Saudi lifestyle, and AROYA Cruises is intrinsically Arabian, from its design to its cuisine. Yalla, AROYA Cruises!”

What to know about Ayora cruises
The cruises ship Ayora was snatched at an auction after Genting Hong Kong went under, with the ship initially built for Dream Cruises.
The ship currently sails itineraries on the Red Sea, and from June, will pivot to the Mediterranean.
Currently, guests can visit destinations like Cairo, Jeddah, Petra and the beaches of Al-Sabaya and Sharm El Sheik.
The ship is fully decked out with kids zones for play, Middle Eastern and international flavoured restaurants, a spa and fitness centre and more.
The cruise line also plans to build a further two ships by 2035. It is owned by the Saudi Public Investment Fund and considered a key part of the fund’s plan to make Saudi Arabia a leading tourist destination by 2030.
