Carnival Luminosa has arrived in Brisbane to mark its fourth season of sailing out of Queensland, and the season is shaping up as a big one. The ship will welcome more than 70,000 passengers across 27 sailings from now until she heads off in April.
She’ll be visiting destinations like Airlie Beach, Cairns and Port Douglas in Queensland, but also has exciting sailings lined up to the South Pacific, Papua New Guinea and Fiji.
She’ll be sailing alongside Carnival Encounter in Brisbane, with Luminosa offering a slightly more classic Carnival experience, and Encounter still having that P&O Australia flavour that comes from its recent history as Pacific Encounter.
Between the two ships, Adventure and Splendour out of Sydney, they’re expected to contribute $800 million to the national economy this season.
Carnival’s Assistant Vice President Sales and Marketing, Anton Loeb, said: “Queensland is at the heart of Carnival Cruise Lineโs growth in Australia, and weโre proud to once again homeport Carnival Luminosa in Brisbane. Each season, more Queenslanders are discovering how easy and fun it is to set sail straight from their doorstep.
โWeโre excited to welcome Luminosa back for another incredible summer of cruising and canโt wait to deliver more unforgettable holidays from Brisbane.โ
