It’s a little bit sexy circus, a little bit Moulin Rouge a little bit je ne sais quoi.

P&O Cruises’ latest production, Blanc de Blanc Uncorked, has debuted aboard the new Pacific Encounter and Cruise Passenger got a sneak peak of the show.

Created by Australian director Scott Maidment of Strut & Fret, the six-cast show is complete with dancers and contortionists decked out in fabulous costumes – or some close to nothing at all.

“Blanc de Blanc – Uncorked is centred around my fascination with vintage French culture and Moulin Rouge. It is outrageous, fun and demonstrates the unbelievable skill of our all-new cast joining us from across the globe, including Australia, New Zealand, the US and the Ukraine and we can’t wait to bring this to P&O guests for an experience they’ll never forget,” said Maidment.

While it certainly is something different, it’s not too much of a stretch from what P&O cruisers would have seen onboard before.

“Anyone who has sailed with us before will be familiar with Scott’s incredible work with fan-favourite shows including Love Riot and Purple Rabbit,” said P&O Cruises Australia’s Head of Entertainment, Brett Annable. “With Blanc de Blanc – Uncorked, Scott again delivers a stunning production with plenty of cheek, so bring your sense of humour and a glass of bubbles to the show for a special night out.”

The risqué adults-only production is officially debuting aboard the cruise line’s newest ship when it sails on its debut cruise on 20 August.

A Blanc de Blanc show will also be a staple on the Pacific Adventure when it joins the P&O fleet in October.

The show is an added extra onboard, but tickets start from just $20.
