Azamara has announced that the cruise line is returning to Venice, with April 3, 2023, pencilled in as the return date to the beautiful canal city. The return will come as part of Azamaraโs 12-night โThe Best of the Med Voyageโ.
Mike Pawlus, Azamaraโs Director of Strategic Itinerary & Destination Planning said: โThanks to our longstanding relationship with the local officials and port authorities of Venice, weโre thrilled to not only bring our guests back to this historic canal city but also to allow them to discover the wonders of neighbouring towns such as Chioggia, which only smaller ships can visit.
โWe look forward to once again immersing our guests in the rich local culture and amazing historical sites that the destination has to offer.โ
Azamara will be stopping at the Venetian Lagoon ports of Chioggia and Fusinsa, offering easy and accessible access to all of the glory of Venice, as well as nearby hidden gems.
Some of the Venice shore excursions on offer include an evening gondola ride with local musicians, a motorboat out to the neighbouring isles of Murano and Burano, and a guided walking tour of Venice with visits to many of the lesser-known historical sites.ย
For an in-depth week in Italy, you can take a seven-night Italy Intensive Voyage, and enjoy an exploration of the Italian countryside with late stays in Ravenna, Kotor, Amalfi and more, as well as an overnight stay in Rome. Youโll get all the excitement and iconic sites of Venice and Rome, as well as the chance for authentic and off-the-beaten-path experiences like enjoying the views of Boka Bay from the Kotor mountains and trotting around the pedestrian-only streets of Sorrento.ย
If you want a cruise that keeps you and your excursions a bit more coastal, you could rather opt for a seven-night Amalfi & Dalmatian Coasts Voyage. Youโll make three stops along the Dalmatian Coast across Croatia, before stopping along the Amalfi Coast, offering a blend of cultures and scenery throughout your week on the water.ย
