APT Travel Group founder, Geoff McGeary has passed away peacefully one week shy of his 84th birthday.
McGeary passed away at home surrounded by his family.

His two children, Robert McGeary and Lou Tandy, will continue to lead the company as co-owners and directors, the company statement said.
A pioneer of the Australian travel industry, McGeary grew his business from a bus company in Melbourne into a significant global cruise and touring conglomerate.
McGeary was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia in 2014.
The family has requested that instead of flowers, donations can be made to APT’s foundation, OneTomorrow, to support research into Parkinson’s disease.
