Just like the old TV commercials, Ambassador Cruise Line is offering satisfaction to first-time cruisers or their money back.
The new offer, dubbed the Ambassador Guarantee, provides guests who have not previously cruised with Ambassador, a money-back guarantee if they are not enjoying their first sail with the cruise line.
“We’re so confident you’ll experience the warmest welcome at sea on your first cruise with us, that we’re happy to make a special guarantee,” the offers reads.
“We’re so proud of the amazing entertainment, outstanding cuisine and exceptional service we offer on board that we’ll give your money back if you don’t enjoy yourself on your Ambassador sailing!
“It’s just one more reason why you can book now with confidence.”
The guarantee is available to first-time Ambassador cruisers, booking their first cruise aboard Ambience or Ambition.
Valid for new bookings only
It is valid for new bookings only, made after January 19, 2024 for a duration of four nights or more. The Guarantee is not available on Festive events or cruises under four nights.
In the fine print, the Ambassador Guarantee says a passenger must state their intention to leave the cruise, and the reason why, to the Hotel Director within 24 hours of embarkation.
“Our onboard team will endeavour to resolve any issues within 24 hours from the time you notify them,” it says.
If a solution cannot be agreed, Ambassador says it will cover the cost of transport to the passengers point of embarkation at the next available port with the mode of repatriation at Ambassador’s discretion such as flights, rail, taxi plus a night in a hotel, if needed. All other costs must be covered by the disgruntled passenger.
Not only that, the UK line says it will refund the cost of the fare paid for the cruise, plus the drinks package, minus the cost of drinks already consumed.
Other costs such as gifts, shopping, laundry, spa, communications not be reimburse either, nor will port parking or travel costs to the terminal, travel insurance, visas or health certificates.
The guarantee does not apply to employees of Ambassador and their friends and family, suppliers, journalists, or any prize winners or concession booking.
The Guarantee does not affect Ambassador’s standard booking conditions or pre-departure cancellation policy.
Full refunds in the cruise industry are rare with dissatisfied passengers often receiving cruise credits for future itineraries.
