Australian cruisers can look forward to tasting luxury line Silversea’s much celebrated food experience S.A.L.T onboard its newest ship, Silver Nova when she heads to Australian waters in 2025.

Philippa Walker, Silversea’s marketing director for Asia Pacific revealed that Silver Nova has been in high demand since debuting in the Mediterranean in August.

When Silver Nova and Silver Moon arrives in Australian waters in 2025/26 season, they will debut S.A.L.T. (Sea And Land Taste) dining experience.

To tweak how S.A.L.T. experience will work for the local market, its curator Adam Sachs, will be visiting Down Under in the coming year to curate the menu for the Oceania region, Ms Walker said.

“S.A.L.T. is about bringing the food and wine of where you are travelling onboard the ship and onshore,” she said.

From delving into the secrets of a working organic farm in the hills of Paros, Greece to trying your hand at pastry making at a Sicilian Pasticceria, S.A.L.T. shore excursions will be accompanied by Silversea’s food experts who will explain the intricacies of foreign cuisine to Silversea’s guests.

The line’s three ships, Silver Nova, Silver Moon and Silver Dawn will also offer onboard dining at its S.A.L.T. kitchen to taste a plethora of international dishes inspired by the destination. Then there’s S.A.L.T. Bar where guests can sip cocktails made with locally produced quality spirits. And finally, there’s S.A.L.T. Lab an interactive cooking laboratory for guests to try their hands at cooking local recipes and understand the food heritage of each ingredient.

Ms Walker also said that Silversea had a “phenomenal” year launching its Myths & Treasures collection of over 150 new sailings for 2025/26 which opened for general sale this week.

Two new grand voyages will take guests to immerse themselves even deeper in Australia and the South Pacific.

Grand South Pacific Expedition

The 75-day Grand South Pacific Expedition from Fremantle (Perth) to Valparaiso onboard Silver Cloud will depart from 20 August to 2 November 2025.

Covering 11 countries, the voyage will venture off the beaten track destinations such as Indonesia’s Fam Islands in Raja Ampat – the first ever for the line – then calling at Easter Island, Chile, Rabaul, Papua New Guinea, Vanuatu, Aitutaki, Cook Islands, Robin Crusoe Island and Tonga.

The 47-day Grand Australia voyage onboard Silver Nova will be a round-trip from Melbourne departing on 14 October to 30 November 2025, calling at 23 destinations including Sydney, Broome, Hobart, Kangaroo Island and more with seven overnights and four late departures. Guests will be taken to immerse in the vibrant marine life of the Great Barrier Reef, pearl farming in Broome, Dreamtime storytelling of Aboriginal communities and experiencing Australia’s endemic wildlife such as quokkas and Tasmanian devils. Priced from $46,400 per person.
