Australian cruisers can look forward to tasting luxury line Silversea’s much celebrated food experience S.A.L.T onboard its newest ship, Silver Nova when she heads to Australian waters in 2025.
Philippa Walker, Silversea’s marketing director for Asia Pacific revealed that Silver Nova has been in high demand since debuting in the Mediterranean in August.
When Silver Nova and Silver Moon arrives in Australian waters in 2025/26 season, they will debut S.A.L.T. (Sea And Land Taste) dining experience.
To tweak how S.A.L.T. experience will work for the local market, its curator Adam Sachs, will be visiting Down Under in the coming year to curate the menu for the Oceania region, Ms Walker said.
“S.A.L.T. is about bringing the food and wine of where you are travelling onboard the ship and onshore,” she said.
From delving into the secrets of a working organic farm in the hills of Paros, Greece to trying your hand at pastry making at a Sicilian Pasticceria, S.A.L.T. shore excursions will be accompanied by Silversea’s food experts who will explain the intricacies of foreign cuisine to Silversea’s guests.
The line’s three ships, Silver Nova, Silver Moon and Silver Dawn will also offer onboard dining at its S.A.L.T. kitchen to taste a plethora of international dishes inspired by the destination. Then there’s S.A.L.T. Bar where guests can sip cocktails made with locally produced quality spirits. And finally, there’s S.A.L.T. Lab an interactive cooking laboratory for guests to try their hands at cooking local recipes and understand the food heritage of each ingredient.
Ms Walker also said that Silversea had a “phenomenal” year launching its Myths & Treasures collection of over 150 new sailings for 2025/26 which opened for general sale this week.
