Ocean and river cruise lines are already advertising their 2018 sailings with hot deals as well as new itineraries and destinations.

Major lines like Scenic, Evergreen, Princess Cruises, MSC, APT, Silversea as well as Ponant have bargains like discounts of up to 30 per cent off as well as free flights thrown in.

The lines have also forecasted some of the top holiday destinations for 2018, with P&O Australia’s President Sture Myrmell saying that the ships and local port calls are still popular for the following year.

“We’re seeing continued growth driven by innovative offers and new product features like the waterslides on Pacific Dawn and Pacific Explorer. Popular itineraries include the seven-night cruises from Brisbane to the South Pacific and Great Barrier Reef,” he said.

“In addition, PNG cruises from Brisbane and Cairns have proved popular in Queensland, while our shorter three and four night SeaBreaks from all homeports around the country continue to sell well too.”

Over at Carnival Cruise Line’s Vice President Jennifer Vandekreeke said that bookings have increased for next year.

“The school holidays always sell well and there is a lot of interest in our four repositioning cruises to and from Hawaii on Carnival Legend and to and from Singapore on Carnival Spirit.”
