Jeannine Williamson

From canoeing down the Mississippi to sailing on some of the world’s most luxurious ships, Jeannine had clocked up thousands of nautical miles in both familiar and far-flung destinations. A former newspaper journalist, Jeannine is now a cruise specialist dubbed ‘the river cruise queen’ and contributes to a variety of national newspapers, magazines and websites. She has received awards and accolades from the Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA), Visit USA, Travel Media, Latin American Travel Association (LATA), and British Guild of Travel Writers. She lives in the UK and is a past winner of the East Sussex Women in Business Awards.   What’s your favourite cruise of all time? A very tough one! However, for a combination of the most incredible and extraordinary wildlife encounters and travelling in luxury it has to be the Galapagos on Silversea’s Silver Origin.   What’s your favourite experience? I’m a huge fan of tall ship line Star Clippers and jumped at the chance to be the first UK writer to do the 16-day transatlantic crossing from Barbados to Lisbon. It was an unusual and thrilling experience.   What trip is on the wishlist? SeaTrek Sailing Adventures offers some amazing small ship expedition voyages to spot whale sharks and marine life in Indonesia. It’s a part of the world I’ve never visited.
