Oceania Cruises is making it easier for you to go solo

Luxury cruise line Oceania Cruises, has announced the addition of more dedicated staterooms for solo travellers. 

Four of Oceania’s ships will now feature 15 solo Oceanview Staterooms, starting with Regatta on September 25, 2022, this represents Oceania Cruises extending a hand to the solo traveller. Howard Sherman, President & CEO of Oceania Cruises said: “One of the greatest factors in Oceania Cruises’ success is that we not only listen to the feedback our guests and travel partners provide, we act on it. Our guests and travel partners wanted more options for solo travelers and more diverse tour offerings, and we are delighted to deliver.” The rooms themselves sit on deck six of the ships, each equipped a plush tranquility bed, stocked up mini bar, seating area and plenty of storage space. Mr Sherman said:  “These new single-occupancy staterooms are ideal for guests seeking the joy of travelling solo while experiencing all the comfort, cuisine, and destination expertise that Oceania Cruises is renowned for.” Pricing and availability for the new rooms will be revealed on April 12. This isn’t the only initiative Oceania revealed, with the cruise line also sharing details of their new ‘Go Green’ and ‘Beyond Blueprint’ tours.  Go Green tours involve giving guests the chance to engage with local residents and businesses to learn about conversation of local environments. Examples include a Bordeaux wines and sustainability tour, where guests will learn of the process for biodynamic and organic farming and how it has not only improved the quality at Château de La Dauphine, but helped preserve the beautiful surroundings as well. Another one of the 150-plus Go Green Tours is ‘A Sloth Paradise’ in Costa Rica, where guests will visit a sloth sanctuary that is dedicated to rehabilitation for sloth’s who have been hurt by deforestation.  Beyond Blueprints tours veer from natural beauty to man-made, offering rare glimpses into the stories behind some of the worlds most iconic architecture, such as La Villa Mediterranée & MUCEM in Paris, Equinor and Munchmuseet in Oslo, The Royal Library and The Blue Planet aquarium in Copenhagen and much more. Knowledge guides will share all the tales of how these architectural wonders came to be, offering brand new perspectives on famous sites.
