Princess Cruises opens its first water park

Princess Cruises, the premium line renowned for its lack of waterparks, has opened its first waterpark on the Caribbean Princess.

The Caribbean Princess has been updated over the last few years with features that cater to families such as accommodation, dining experiences and entertainment offerings. The Reef Family Splash Zone is the newest family attraction. The Reef features a splash pad, newly refurbished pool, jacuzzi, photo wall, game zone, new loung options and a kid-friendly bar. The splash pad is the centrepiece of The Reef and the interactive water playground features a splash pool, assorted water sprays and showers where families can enjoy a day of splashing, laughing and playing. The focal point is an interactive Winnie the Whale feature which “rains” from its fluke and sprays from her spout. Guests can also find colourful and vibrant murals of a whale’s fluke painted at both entrances to The Reef to take fun photos and selfies. The seating and lounging options have also been refreshed to match the newly designed space and Morgan’s Bar has a new fruity mocktail menu, including beverages like “Crazy Coconut” and “Berry Nice to Meet You”. The Caribbean Princess regularly sails seven to 14-night Fort Lauderdale roundtrip cruises in the Caribbean during the peak season. During the Caribbean monsoon months from July to October, she sails 10-night Canada and New England cruises departing New York and arriving in Quebec.
