Silversea’s Silver Muse will sail Australia’s most pristine waters

The ultra-luxe Silver Muse, flagship of the Silversea fleet, will spend four months Down Under in 2019 – her longest season ever.

The line has announced an array of stunning cruise destinations to celebrate the visit – including the Great Barrier Reef, South Pacific Islands and New Zealand’s majestic fjords.

Silver Muse will kick off the season with a 14-day itinerary departing Sydney on December 6 and visiting Melbourne, Tasmania, Dunedin, Christchurch, Picton and Tauranga. Highlights of her voyage will include sailing the Milford, Doubtful and Dusky Sounds in the UNESCO-listed Fiordland National Park.

The Muse will also make a 13-day voyage departing Sydney on January 3 calling at South Pacific islands including New Caledonia, Fiji and Vanuatu. Guests will visit pristine beaches, colourful coral gardens and cascading waterfalls.

She will spend sometime in Asia visiting Japan and China. On October 21, the Silver Muse will spend 14 days soaking up the unique cultures and dynamic cities of China and Japan including Tokyo, Hong Kong and make an inaugural call at Hiroshima with overnight stays in Osaka, Beijing and Shanghai.

Silversea Cruises will roll out a total of 89 voyages to Australasia, Asia, South America and Caribbean in its 2019-2020 itineraries.

Highlights of the itineraries will be a World Cruise 2020 when the Silver Whisper will depart Fort Lauderdale for Amsterdam on January 6 visiting seven continents for the first time. The pioneering 140-day journey will call at 32 countries and 62 destinations. Heading south, Silver Whisper will sail through sunny California to South America before reaching the amazing Antarctic Peninsula. She will head north to Valparaiso, then mystical Easter Island, South Pacific Islands before calling at Australia. She will then head for Asia visiting exotic gems such as Bali, Sri Lanka and Mumbai before continuing her journey to the Mediterranean and Northern Europe.

Next year’s itinerary will include 10 inaugural visits including Fiji’s volcanic Dravuni Island, the lushly forested Cayman Brac in the Cayman Islands and the picturesque city of Timaru in New Zealand.

  1. Thanks for the update on Silversea Silver Muse. The Silver Muse is simply a brilliant ship (the best I have ever sailed on) along with its excellent crew and all of its onboard facilities.
    Its 8 restaurants are all magnificently appointed with definitely the best food at sea (beats Oceania by at least 10 points), wherever you turn the luxury of this ship is outstanding from its beautifully furnished all-suite accommodation to it many lounges, good sized theatre, library and comfort areas.
    A delightful pool with cocktail service for all guests is all a part of this incredible ship that carries around 600 passengers and maybe 400 crew.
    You can be assured that your every whim is catered for; as a person you are not just another passenger, you are the most important person on board, nothing is too much trouble for the staff and the super friendly crew.
    As a frequent cruiser who has travelled the world on most other cruise lines and their ships, this would have to be the ultimate in cruising and definitely worth a 6-star or better rating.
    I should mention this is a completely independent report, I am not being paid or receiving any benefit from anyone, this is my own personal opinion having just returned from an 8-day cruise on this ship between Singapore and Bali.
    If you enjoy cruising, whatever you do, don’t pass on the Silversea Silver Muse, she would have to be the most impressive ship sailing the oceans today.
