Princess Cruises has opened bookings for its 2028 season, which reveals its much-loved world cruises and grand voyages.

A popular itinerary for Australians is the 115-day World Cruise aboard the Coral Princess which visits 49 ports across 24 countries.

Departing on January 3, 2028, the round-trip from Fort Lauderdale includes segments that Australians can book.

The 2028 Princess World Cruise

Sailing aboard the 2000-passenger Coral Princess, the itinerary transits the Panama Canal before visiting Hawaii and the South Pacific. The ship will call at Samoa and Fiji.

The Coral Princess will then continue to Australia and New Zealand where the ship will call at Sydney, Melbourne and Auckland, offering shore excursions to see extraordinary wildlife and landscapes.

Coral Princess then sails across the Indian Ocean to remote island gems, including Mauritius and Réunion Island, before arriving in South Africa for an overnight stay in Cape Town and a special maiden call to Mossel Bay. Mossel Bay is home to a UNESCO World Heritage Site featuring coastal caves that hold some of the earliest evidence of modern human behaviour, dating back more than 160,000 years.

Sailing north along Africa’s western coast, the journey continues into the Mediterranean with visits to Barcelona, Sicily, and the Adriatic Sea, including Dubrovnik, as well as Casablanca, before crossing the Atlantic Ocean back to North America.

“Our 2028 World Cruise is an unparalleled voyage designed for travellers to see the world in a meaningful, immersive way — with more overnight stays, more time in port, deeper cultural connections and unforgettable moments at every turn,” said Jim Berra, Princess Cruises Chief Commercial Officer.

“Guests will embark on an exceptional and deeply rewarding journey with extraordinary exploration, effortlessly wrapped in Princess’ signature warmth.”

More time ashore

Part of the program of the 2028 World Cruise, Princess has added more time ashore for guests to explore destinations. Some of the experiences include:

  • Overnight stays in Cape Town, South Africa and Auckland, New Zealand.
  • 10 additional late-night stays, including Barcelona, Casablanca, Dubrovnik, Honolulu, Melbourne and Sydney.
  • For the first time, Princess invites guests to embark on an immersive safari adventure at one of Africa’s top five celebrated game preserves including Aquila Game Reserve and the iconic White Lions at Pumba Private Game Reserve.

Circle Pacific Grand Voyages

Alongside its World Cruise, Princess is also offering extended Circle Pacific voyages in 2028 that link Alaska, Asia and the South Pacific in a single, continuous loop.

For Australians, there is a marquee 94-night Circle Pacific itinerary aboard the Grand Princess offering round-trip sailings from ports in Australia and New Zealand.

The Circle Pacific route threads together scenic cruising and glacier viewing in Alaska, calls to cosmopolitan Asian cities and the idyllic South Pacific islands.

Panama Canal, California and Asia deployment

Princess has also earmarked a broader deployment of itineraries that include Panama Canal cruising, with itineraries that can be paired with back-to-back sailings along the Pacific coast or in the Caribbean.

In Asia, Princess has extended its program through 2028, spotlighting voyages from major hubs like Singapore, Hong Kong and Tokyo.

While in North America, the line will offer Californian coastal itineraries through 2028 for guests to build longer sailings. There will also be shorter Pacific getaways and weeklong coastal routes that can be combined with Mexico or Alaskan sailings.
