- Celebrity Solstice has seen significant dry dock changes.
- The ship will come to Australia later this year, offering guests a chance to enjoy the new changes.
- The refurbishment includes venues that are brand new to Celebrity Cruises.
Celebrity Solstice has had a fresh makeover and will be returning to service with a new look and a range of new experiences onboard.
The ship was built in 2008 and may be nearing on 20 years in service, but this refresh will give it a revitalised feel and make for an exciting new option for Aussies, when she sails alongside Celebrity Edge in Australia.
Solstice sails between Asia, Australia and America, meaning it generally offers a couple of local itineraries for Aussies, as well as some repositioning cruises between Australia and Asia or Australia and the USA.
For example, when she arrives in Australia this September, guests can enjoy a 10-night wine cruise, a12-night South Pacific Islands cruise, a 13-night Australia to Singapore itinerary and more.
New spaces
Some of the new features are now just new to Solstice, but to Celebrity as a whole. These new spaces include Trattoria Rossa, Sunset Park, The Parlor and Boulevard Lounge.
Sunset Park is one of the new spaces, which will be an open-air social space on the top-deck. Here guests can enjoy yoga, lawn games, live music and more, as well as relax in a private cabana with service attendants ready to bring you whatever you desire.
Sunset Park Cafe will be a new bistro offer classic break items like sandwiches, quiches, pastries and more, with lunchtime will bring fresh salads and wraps. Guests can also enjoy charcuterie boards through the day, while taking in the sun and views on the top deck.
The Parlor will operate asa. new sports and gaming lounge, where guests can toss darts, play billiards and enjoy sports on the big screen. Here you can also find classic bar eats and Celebrity’s range of signature cocktails.
Boulevard Lounge is a new 125-seat venue, with events running all day. You can find piano singalongs, karaoke, new game shows, cocktail hour and more.
New dining
Two new restaurants will be found on Celebrity Solstice, Trattoria Rossa and Fine Cut Steakhouse.
Trattoria Rosa is new to Celebrity Cruises, offering Southern Italian and Roman cuisine. Dishes range across seafood, classic meat dishes, various pasta dishes which are prepared daily and more.
Fine Cut Steakhouse is a Celebrity staple which is now coming to Solstice. Here you’ll find 30-day dry-aged steaks, fresh seafood and high-quality service.
New entertainment
Apart from the The Parlor and Boulevard Bar, there’s other new entertainment on the way as well. Two production shows will be making their debut on Celebrity Solstice.
Guests will now be able to catch Smoke and Ivories and Rockumentary. Smoke and Ivories pays tribute to the 1950s, but mixes in high-flying acrobatics with its piano and vocal performances. Rockumentary offers a live concert experience, which recreates iconic rock performances from throughout the years.
Stateroom upgrades
Celebrity Solstice cabins have seen a range of renovations, with four new categories being added and every single stateroom getting an upgrade. The new stateroom categories will be the Panoramic Infinite Veranda Suite, two new Panoramic Ocean View Suite categories and the Deluxe Panoramic Ocean View.
For those who stay in The Retreat, they’ll now be able to enjoy a new sundeck with a hot dub, outdoor seating and a private lounge.
AquaClass Staterooms, which is Solstice’s staterooms especially focused around wellness, have been added to with fresh amenities like massaging shower heads, aromatherapy diffusers, in-room yoga mats, premium robes, a pillow menu and more.
