Ultimate guide to Disney Adventure

Table Of Content
Disney Adventure is set to change the face of Disney Cruise Line. The massive new ship is far larger than any other Disney vessel, and will bring the cruise line into Southeast Asia, with sailings out of Singapore.
The ship will sail three and four-day itineraries to nowhere, but the real attraction will be the ship. For an idea on the size difference, Disney’s next biggest ship Disney Wish can take about 4000 guests at once, and Disney Adventure fits in a modest 6700 passengers give or take.
With Disney Wonder leaving Aussie waters, Disney Adventure will become the closest Disney holiday for Aussie travellers, sitting closer than the Disneyland attractions in Hong Kong and Tokyo.
Australians will now have one of the largest cruise ships in the world which is a short flight away and packed with more attractions than any other Disney ship.
Why is Disney Adventure so much bigger than other Disney ships? This vessel was originally designed for defunct Genting Hong Kong and when the company went under, Disney purchased the shell vessel to turn it into something spectacular.
Disney Adventure will remain unique amongst the Disney fleet, as future ship builds look set to be more similar in size compared to Disney’s other ships. With Singapore now having by far the biggest Disney ship in the world a short flight from Australia, Cruise Passenger has put together all you need to know about this new ship.
Why are Aussies looking to sail on Disney Adventure and how much will it cost?
Now that Disney Wonder is no longer an option for Aussie cruisers, they’ll be looking towards Disney Adventure in Singapore instead.
Depending on where you are in Australia, a flight to Singapore can range from around five to nine hours, and Singapore is not only the new homeport for Disney Wonder but also a great base for further Asian travel and a great destination in its own right.
While Disney Wonder didn’t prove to be the perfect long term fit for Aussies, there are still plenty of Disney fans in Australia who will be considering heading over.
For those that do, here’s the basic info you need to know on pricing
- It will of course depend on where you’re flying from and what level of luxury you’re looking for, but here’s what to know.
- Flight prices from Sydney or Melbourne to Singapore start from about $800 per person return.
- A hotel stay in a three or four star hotel, will generally come to about $350 per night for a family of four.
- Therefore, in total for a family of four, including the base costs of a four-night cruise, two-nights in a hotel and flights, a trip will come out to $7415 in total for about a week-long trip.
- This price is before calculating some extras like transport, transfers, meals in Singapore and so on.
- Depending on where you’re coming from, this could turn out even cheaper than cruising with Disney in Australia.

Itineraries: How much does a Disney Adventure sailing cost?
Itineraries are short – there is a three-night cruise out of Singapore and a four-night cruise out of Singapore.
Neither of these sailings visit any destinations – the sailings are built around the ship and its various attractions to be the big draw.
It’s possible in the future that Disney could release new itineraries that visit destinations, but at this point, there’s no indication that there are plans for this.
As far as pricing goes, you will be able to find Disney Adventure sailings for cheaper than you could on Disney Wonder. Due to the larger capacity and the lack of destinations means there are no port taxes, so fares do come out a bit cheaper.
- A three-night cruise starts from $2711 for a four-guest cabin, meaning a total of $677.75 per person, or $226 per person per night.
- A four-night cruise starts from $3515 for four-guests, meaning a total of $875.75 per guest or $220 per guest per night.
- Disney Adventure cruises are priced based on a cabin of four guests, however, if you have less guests, you still pay the same price. This means that prices are most beneficial to couples who are bringing two children.
- Many Aussie sailings on Disney Wonder started as high as $375 per night per person, nearly double that of Disney Adventure’s starting prices. In general, Disney Adventure’s rates are about 25 – 40% better.
- The ship doesn’t visit any ports, which may be disappointing for some, but also means less money is being spent overall, as all your time will be spent on the ship where your food and entertainment is included.

Dining on Disney Adventure
Dining on a Disney ship is a different experience to other cruise lines. Dining gets weaved in with more entertainment, as Disney characters sing, dance and perform amongst you as you dine. Particularly the main dining rooms on Adventure, which are Hollywood Spotlight Club and Navigators Club are where you’ll find this immersive, Disney dining experience.
However, for yet another type of immersive dining, you can head over to Animator’s Palate, where a series of Disney animations that range from vintage footage to behind the scenes explanations and modern clips play as you dine, teaching you the history and present day of Disney as you dine.
Other interactive and Disney immersed eateries include the Maximum Dining Room, which is based on the films Tangled and Frozen, as well as the Olaf dining room, based on the snowman from Frozen.
Pixar Market Restaurant contains references to all sorts of movies, like Finding Nemo, Cars, Monsters Inc and more, offering buffet style dining.
