The world’s leading culinary and destination-focused cruise line said bookings on January 28 surpassed by 45 per cent the launch-day bookings of Oceania Cruises’ previous new ship, Oceania Allura.

Demand for Sonata’s inaugural season was “brisk” especially for its suite categories.

Oceania Sonata promises to usher in a new era of experiential travel and we cannot wait until she joins the fleet in August 2027. I’d like to thank our valued guests and travel partners for their incredible enthusiasm which fueled these amazing results,” said Jason Montague, Chief Luxury Officer of Oceania Cruises.

Sonata is the first Sonata class vessel to launch next year and will be followed by three sister ships with Oceania Arietta scheduled to debut in 2029 and another two to launch  in 2032 and 2035.

Oceania Sonata will be able to accommodate 1390 guests and has been designed with an exceptional sense of space and elegance. One-third of her accommodation will be suites including four new two-bedroom Owner’s Suites and two new Horizon Suites and Penthouse Deluxe Suites.

Onboard Oceania Sonata will be two new culinary experiences – the fine dining La Table par Maitres Cuisiniers de France and Nikkei Kitchen which will specialize in fusion food combining Peruvian flavours and refined Japanese culinary tastes.
