- Princess Cruises has been selling out for the season ahead, leaving cruisers looking for other options.
- We explore three different options that have availability this summer and some will even save you money.
- We have found that Celebrity Cruises, Holland America Line and Oceania Cruises have great alternative sailings.
With Princess cruise availability disappearing at record rates for the rest of this year and early 2026, some cruisers will have to look for other premium options.
There are options in the same range as Princess that are competitive on price and offer a similarly experience and atmosphere onboard. For example, there are lines such as Celebrity Cruises and Holland America.
Cruise Passenger has found that there are itineraries at a more affordable price than Princess for later this year.
There are also some upper premium lines like Oceania Cruises, which start at a higher price point, but offer more inclusions than Princess.
Due to supply and availability on the remaining Princess voyages for 2025 will have a higher starting price. On some sailings, only suite categories are left while on others, interior cabins are expensive due to scarcity.
For example, there are two, two-week cruises to New Zealand still available. But they start respectively at $5259, and $4709 for an interior, averaging about $350 a day.ย
Here are a few different cruises if youโve missed out with Princess sailings.
Celebrity Cruises 12-nights New Zealand on Celebrity Edge – starts from $2713
Celebrity Cruises offers a comparable experience to Princess in terms of ship size and ambiance. Youโre still on a big and exciting ship, packed with amenities.
Celebrity is particularly well known for its dining options, making it an even better option for foodies.
Celebrity Cruises is also selling extremely fast for the upcoming Australian season, but if youโre quick, you can actually snap up some incredible prices, such as this cruise for just $2713, or $226 a night. This is a starting price of $100 less per night than Princess.
The cruise has multiple sailing dates this year.
Holland America 14-day Australia and New Zealand on Noordam – starts from $3225
Holland America is considered more quiet, refined and elegant than a Princess cruise. The line is known for close attention to deal in their service design and experience.
Once again, Holland America offers a more competitive price than Princess at the moment for an Aussie cruise.
Their 14-day sailing to New Zealand starts from $3225, or just $230 a day, also more than $100 cheaper per day than Princess.
This sailing leaves on November 23, as a roundtrip out of Sydney, but there are other similar sailings available in the same sort of price range.
Holland America has availability, so you should be able to find the cabin category youโre looking for.
Oceania Cruises – 14-day Sydney to Bali on Riviera – from $5630
Oceania offers a more upper-premium experience, with a much smaller ship and more personalised guest services than the other options.
Fares will be higher than a line such as Princess but Oceania offers more inclusions like WiFi, speciality dining, specialty coffees, juices and smoothies, laundry service and group fitness classes.ย
Due to Oceania ships being smaller, you might find some and new interesting itineraries that you havenโt explored before.
For example, check out this 14-day sailing to Bali. Starting from $5630, the price per day is just $402 per day, about $50 more per day than Princess.
Depending on where youโre based in Australia, a flight back from Bali may not be very different in price to a flight back from Sydney, or even cheaper if youโre in Western Australia.
Especially if the inclusions are valuable to you, itโs worth considering if an Oceania cruise could be a worthwhile leap for you, meanwhile Princess supply is running low.
