- Carnival cruisers are petitioning for the rollout of late-night pizza on Carnival Encounter and Carnival Adventure.
- The two cruise ships were recently absorbed into Carnival Cruise Line and don’t have the late-night dining option.
- One cruiser has even created a petition, which already has over 400 signatures, asking for the return of free late-night food.
One passionate cruiser has started a petition to see the rollout of free late-night pizza on Carnival Cruise Line’s newest ships, the Carnival Adventure and Carnival Encounter.
While there is free pizza on the line’s other ships up to midnight, the Carnival Adventure and Carnival Encounter only serve free pizza until 4 pm.
It appears the early cruisers on these new ships haven’t taken kindly to the change, with one passionate cruiser Jonathon Hurrell, starting a Change.Org petition, requesting free pizza until midnight on the two new Carnival ships.
The petition quickly reached almost 500 signatures. Another key complaint is that the new ships don’t have any free food options available after 9 pm.
The lengthy petition reads: “Carnival Adventure and Carnival Encounter offer exciting voyages and unparalleled experiences. However, as passengers, it’s disheartening to see that there are no free food options available after 9 PM. Imagine spending a full day enjoying the sunshine, activities, and entertainment, only to find yourself hungry at night with no complimentary options to satisfy your appetite.
“This petition is a call to action for Carnival Cruise Lines to extend free food services on their ships, specifically providing complimentary pizza until midnight. This change would not only enhance the guest experience on board but also align with Carnival’s reputation as the most fun cruise line. Expanding the dining options would cater to the diverse needs of passengers, many of whom have different schedules and dietary requirements.
“Join us in urging Carnival Cruise Lines to provide free pizza until midnight on Carnival Adventure and Carnival Encounter. Sign this petition to make late-night munching a memorable part of the cruise experience. Add your voice to those who believe in a more satisfying, enjoyable, and accommodating cruise for everyone.”
Cruisers have shown a mixed reaction to the petition, with many feeling it’s dramatic and saying that cruisers can simply get extra food early and keep it in the fridge.
One cruiser wrote: “No free food after 9 pm? Unreal, we may as well be back in London in 1939, such hardships. Did you get off the boat ok? If you need support at this time, I know someone you can call. Sending love.”
However, some others felt that, given the new ships have transitioned to Carnival, cruisers deserve to receive all of the amenities that are associated with a Carnival sailing.
A cruiser wrote that late-night food is convenient for busy parents. “I agree. I’m a late-night eater. And so are my kids. I will sign. We used to always get something hot after a show or late-night swimming which makes you hungry. It’s wrong to take away included food late at night. Cruises have gone up so much in the last year or so but yet we are getting less for our money.”
Another cruiser summed up how some are feeling: “We found it odd that they wanted to make them Carnival ships but don’t include many of the options that Carnival is well known for.”
While a petition may be unlikely to gain any traction, it does show that cruisers are still adapting to the new ships and raises questions about how Carnival will continue the integration of the new ships moving forward.
