As the river cruising community continues to thrive, Avalon Waterways are among the many river cruise lines looking to elevate their ship’s experience.
Avalon is known for its Suite Ships, which feature wall-to-wall, floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows, as well as river cruising’s only open-air balcony. They put a lot of emphasis on the unrivalled views that are available on their ships.
To keep up with the demand for stylish and comfortable river cruising, they will be reimagining their award-winning Suite Ships. Their slogan, “Better by Design” highlights Avalon’s efforts to push innovative ship design as a key selling point.
The changes being implemented include:
- Faster Wi Fi: adding a second Starlink antenna for better high-speed internet. This will be music to the ears of the young cruisers they are hoping to attract.
- Upgraded fitness rooms: they’ll be new weight machines, more selection of free weights as well as 15 new bikes and four new e-bikes on each ship.
- Enhanced Observation Lounge: the favourite vantage point is getting a sleeker look with fresh décor.
- Revamped Sky Deck: a chic new look and upgraded furniture.
Avalon Waterways’ fleet-wide refresh is launching in phases:
- 2024: Avalon Passion, Avalon Imagery II, Avalon Poetry II, Avalon Panorama, Avalon Vista
- 2025: Avalon Artistry II, Avalon Impression, Avalon Illumination, Avalon Tapestry II, Avalon Tranquility II
- 2026: Avalon Expression and Avalon Visionary
The Avalon Alegria, Avalon View and Avalon Envision were already built in the enhanced style that the other ships will eventually emulate.
