At just under 4,000 square feet the ultra luxe Regent Suite onboard the soon to be launched Regent Seven Seas Explorer is around 50 per cent larger than the average Sydney home. Along with two bedrooms, there’s enough space for a huge wraparound balcony, private glass-enclosed garden, in-room spa complete with sauna and steam room, two and a half marble bathrooms, a walk in wardrobe and, of course, a grand piano. Décor is opulent with plenty of gold accents, black marble and mirrored surfaces. There will also be a personal butler on hand to cater to guests’ every whim and extras like free Wi-Fi, unlimited in-suite spa treatments, and a car and driver provided at port. Even with a price tag of $6,000 per person per night, Regent predicts it will have no trouble filling the suite on every sailing.

The suite will be the piece de resistance of the Explorer, a 750-passenger, all-suite ship that aims to be the most luxurious on the water. It will launch in July 2016 and spend its inaugural season sailing in the Mediterranean.
