Symphony of the Seas’ incredible food and entertainment options revealed
NewsOne of the world’s largest cruise companies, Royal Caribbean has released details around the world’s largest ship – the Symphony of the Seas.
Symphony of the Seas will eclipse her sister, Harmony of the Seas in size. And maybe even in offerings.
There is a family suite with a slide in it so the kids can slide from their bedroom to the living room, there is a mobile check-in service that uses facial recognition.
The ship’s new 1,346 sq-ft family suite has two bedrooms and sleeps eight people and includes a 3D cinema room with a popcorn machine and a library of video games. There’s a whirlpool, a floor-to-ceiling LEGO climbing wall as well as an air hockey table.
Like Harmony of the Seas, her sister will also have the 10-storey Ultimate Abyss waterslide as well as the Bionic Bar (which you can try on Ovation of the Seas).
The ship will also have an enhanced Boardwalk which will include a new sweet and ice-cream shop as well as a new sports bar and arcade.
The Playmakers Sports Bar will take up the entire length of the updated space and will include 30 TVs streaming every sport from college basketball to soccer. While the kids are playing on games like Ms Pacman and Skeeball, parents can grab a pint of craft beer as well as pub-grub like burgers and wings.
The line will also be introducing two new eateries – El Loca Fresh will be in the Sports Zone and people will be able to get a quick bite like tacos and Mexican food-to go.
In the Solarium, Hooked Seafood will be one for the fish lovers where guests can get fresh seafood as well as delicious pickings from the raw bar.
Symphony of the Seas will also be packing on new entertainment. In addition to the Broadway musical, ‘Hairspray’, Royal Caribbean announced it would also be showing ‘Flight’, the hit musical about the evolution of air travel.
The ship will also have the world’s largest laser tag arena which will be glactic themed.
She’ll be launched in April 2018 and will be sailing through Europe right up until October 2018. Symphony of the Seas will be calling at Barcelona, Palma de Mallorca, Provence, Florence, Pisa, Rome and Naples before arriving at the new state-of-the-art cruise terminal in Miami.
