Today, thousands of cruise passengers worldwide are scrambling to book Australian and New Zealand itineraries aboard Celebrity Cruises’ Celebrity Solstice for her maiden season Down Under in 2012/13.
With the opening of sales, it was revealed that Celebrity Solstice would sail a total of 17 cruises ranging in length from 1- to 35-nights, calling at 28 ports in seven countries.
While the stylish three-year-old is set to visit all major ports in Australia and New Zealand, some of the undoubted highlights are the 35-night ‘Round Australia’ cruise, which can be split into separate voyages; five 12-night New Zealand sailings from Sydney and Auckland; and the two repositioning cruises – a 16-night Singapore to Sydney, and a 18-night Hawaii & Tahiti cruise from Sydney to Honolulu.
The first glimpses Australians will get of the new ship as she reaches local waters will be on December 7 in Brisbane, December 9 in Sydney and December 19 in Auckland.
“For the first time in cruising history, local and international guests alike are able to experience quintessential cruise itineraries ‘down under’ on a calibre of ship traditionally reserved for Caribbean and European waters,” said Adam Armstrong, Celebrity Cruises Australia’s commercial manager.
