SeaDream II has announced it make its inaugural call to Macau next year, giving cruisers to opportunity to experience the former Portuguese colony.

Macau was selected for its Portuguese-influenced characteristics and the fact that its petite port is accessible by the compact SeaDream yatch.

The SeaDream II 13-day Asian voyage commences in March 2014 in Bangkok with calls in Ko Chang, Thailand; Sihanoukville, Cambodia; Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam; Halong Bay, Vietnam; then Macau and ends in Hong Kong.

Macau Government Tourist Office Australia and New Zealand general manager Helen Wong said the ship’s visit speaks volumes for Macau’s appeal as a port of call.

MacauShe said: “Macau’s mix of east-meets-west, old-meets-new features makes for a fascinating visit for the 100 or more cruise ship passengers.”

“It will be our aim to ensure those who visit return to spend more time in what is a very special part of Asia.”
